The Project
Sweden-based Volvo Group signed an agreement with Eicher Motors to form a new Indian joint venture company, VE Commercial Vehicles. This new company comprises Eicher Motors's entire truck and bus operations and the Volvo Group's Indian truck sales operations and service network for trucks and buses. VE Commercial Vehicles needed a group head of Human Resources who would be responsible for establishing the strategic direction of their human resource strategy and practices within the company along with implementing change management.

The HVS Assignment
Eicher Group retained HVS Executive Search to conduct the search for a Group Head Human Resources who would come with extensive expertise in human resources and organizational development in the relevant industry.

The Results
After a nationwide search, Amanpreet Bhatia was chosen by Volvo Eicher as their Group Head of Human Resources. Amanpreet has over 18 years of significant human resources experience across industries. His key contribution the companies he has worked for has been in the area of human resource systems and processes with specific focus on progressive performance management system, employee engagement, compensation and benefits policy. His work on change management process and strategy formulation with the top management has been well appreciated.
