"I'm fascinated by people-the way they are, the reasons they have become that way, the ways they work together and the potential they can achieve. This fascination with people eventually led me into the hospitality business, the most people-centric business of them all. At HVS Executive Search I get to interact with some of the most interesting people in the industry, the movers and shakers who have a major impact on their companies. By finding and signing extraordinarily talented people for my clients, I play my part in that impact and get gratification by seeing my client companies flourish.

In my spare time I'm a keen wakeboarder and snowboarder. I love gliding over a pristine landscape, whether frozen or liquid. At the beginning, both sports involve falling over a lot, and only dogged perseverance gets you standing upright. Once you're up, you realize that there's much more to learn. Only by constantly pushing yourself, you build your skill and learn new tricks. This process, of course, applies to everything."

After graduating from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Chris joined HVS Executive Search in London where he spent four years recruiting senior executives for hotel management companies such as Hilton Worldwide, Marriott and Rezidor, adding to their stable of hotel developers, architects, project managers and operations executives. Chris transferred to HVS Executive Search Hong Kong in 2009 to apply his skills and expertise in the Asia-Pacific region. He is no stranger to Asia, having grown up in the Philippines and Singapore and speaking a host of European languages, he epitomises the experience of being completely multi-cultural. Since moving to Hong Kong Chris has continued with operations, development and technical/capital expenditure searches, but also worked with smaller start-up companies in building their core executive teams.
